Chennai Super Kings (CSK) enlisted their first win of continuous Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season on Tuesday as they crushed Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 23 runs at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai.

Shivam Dube and Robin Uthappa scored 95 and 88 separately as CSK posted 216/4 in the 20 overs and afterward the Ravindra Jadeja-drove side followed it up with an overall bowling execution to beat RCB. RCB were never in with an opportunity as they continued to lose wickets at normal spans. To add to CSK’s festivals, Ambati Rayudu took a blinder of a catch in the sixteenth over to excuse RCB’s No.9 player Akash Deep.

In the sixteenth over of the innings, CSK captain Ravindra Jadeja bowled a shy of a decent length ball and the ball halted on the wicket and Akash Deep figured out how to push at it. The ball went up in the air and Rayudu then jumped full-length to one side at short cover to cull the ball out of nowhere with his right hand. Rayudu and Jadeja then celebrated in style.

While guarding 216, Maheesh Theekshana scalped four wickets for CSK. Suyash Prabhudessai, Shahbaz Ahmed and Dinesh Karthik attempted to remove the game from CSK yet they didn’t figure out how to remain at the wrinkle for quite some time and eventually, CSK enrolled a complete win.

This was CSK’s first success this season, while RCB experienced their second misfortune in the continuous release.

CSK are at the 10th spot in the focuses table with two focuses from five games while RCB have slipped to the fifth spot in the standings.

RCB will next face Delhi Capitals on Saturday while CSK will take on Gujarat Titans on Sunday.
